Breast & body surgery in Korea: planning guide
Body procedures (breast surgery, liposuction, tummy tucks) usually mean a longer, more physical recovery than face work. Plan for that.
Before you book
- Ask whether there's a BMI or health requirement, before you fly
- Ask what's included: anaesthesia, compression garments, follow-ups, drains, meds
- For implants, ask for the brand, implant card and serial number, and whether any warranty applies if you live overseas
- Tell the clinic about every medication and supplement you take
Recovery logistics
- Bring loose, front-opening clothes and slip-on shoes
- A second compression garment so you can wash one
- A long phone charger, snacks, and a way to get food delivered
- If you're travelling with someone also having surgery, stagger your dates by a few days. See planning lipo with my sister

Flying home
Long flights after body surgery raise blood-clot questions. Ask your surgeon specifically about timing, compression stockings and moving around on the plane.
