Revisions & complications: what to do if something feels wrong

First: is it urgent?

Fever, spreading redness, increasing pain, pus, bleeding that won't stop, or trouble breathing need your clinic or emergency services now, not a forum. In Korea, emergency number 119 works for medical emergencies.

Is it just swelling?

Feeling regret while swollen is very common, especially in the first weeks after nose surgery. Ask your clinic for a timeline of what's normal at each stage, and book a check before you fly. See regret during swelling.

Keep your records

Before surgery, ask the clinic to provide in English:

An operative report (what was done)
Implant or material names and brands
Medications and discharge instructions
CT scans or x-rays if taken, and receipts

Your doctor back home, or a revision surgeon, will need them.

Thinking about revision

Most surgeons want you to wait until swelling settles, often 6–12 months for noses. Get more than one opinion, and bring your records.
