Sunscreen after laser — will any SPF50 do?

Probably a dumb question. If a clinic tells me to wear sunscreen after a laser, do I need a special one (mineral? a specific type?) or is my usual chemical SPF50 fine? I'd rather not buy a whole new routine if I don't have to. I'll ask them obviously, just want to know if it's a normal thing to ask.

Not a dumb question at all, it's a normal thing to ask. Some clinics have a preference for freshly treated skin (texture, ingredients, mineral vs chemical) and some are fine with whatever you use. Ask what they want and for how long, and plan on a hat + reapplying either way. Bring your usual one and let them look at the label.
