Epicanthoplasty (inner corner) — what should I understand before even asking about it?

Every eye consult package I've seen online bundles "inner corner" with double eyelid surgery. I honestly don't know if I want it or if it's just being upsold. What's the deal with scarring and is it reversible?

From my reading: it's not really something you can "undo" cleanly, so it's worth being sure. Ask them to show you on your own face (they can usually pinch/hold to simulate) and ask about where the scar sits and how it fades for skin like yours.

Please don't let a package decide this for you. If you didn't walk in wanting it, it's fair to ask "what happens if I only do the crease?"

That's exactly my worry. The packages make it look like default.

Also ask if they do the eyelid first and reassess later. Some surgeons prefer staging it, some don't — but hearing their reasoning tells you a lot.

Bookmarking. I asked about it on a call and they said they rarely recommend it for my eye shape, which honestly made me trust them more.
