Laser on darker / tan skin — what should I ask so I don't end up with pigmentation?
Filipino, tan skin, prone to dark marks. Worried about lasers causing more pigment (PIH). What do I ask?

Same skin worries here. Ask if they treat a lot of darker skin types, which device and settings they'd use, and whether they'd do a patch test first. Ask what they'd do if it darkens.

Ask how many times they've treated your skin type with that specific device and whether they do a test spot first. A good clinic won't be offended by that question.

Sun protection before and after matters a lot. Going into laser with a fresh tan isn't ideal either, ask them.
