Apps that saved you in Seoul (maps, taxis, translation)?

Google Maps apparently doesn't really work there? What should I download before I land?

Naver Map or KakaoMap for directions (Google is weak for walking/transit). Kakao T for taxis — you can register a foreign card these days. Papago for translation, especially the camera feature.

Put your clinic and hotel addresses in Korean in your notes. Showing a taxi driver the Korean address is the fastest way.

Also a T-money card for when you're well enough for the subway. Convenience stores sell them.

Kakao T is a lifesaver. Set up payment before you land.

Naver Map has an English mode, just toggle it in settings

Papago for the camera translation, Kakao T for taxis. Naver Map over Google Maps every time, Google barely works for walking directions there.
