Tax refund on cosmetic procedures for tourists — still a thing?

I read Korea had a VAT refund for foreigners on some cosmetic procedures at registered clinics, but also that it was temporary. Does anyone know if it's still running and how you claim it?

It's been extended a few times over the years so I'd not assume either way. Ask the clinic if they're registered for it and if the procedure qualifies, and keep the refund paperwork they give you for the airport.

This is another reason to always get proper receipts even if you pay cash.

If it applies, the clinic issues the form; you can't really sort it out after you've left. Ask before paying.
