Asymmetric eyes — will the consult tell me which side is the "problem"?

One eye looks smaller and the crease is different. I don't know if it's the lid, the brow, or the muscle. Do they figure that out at consult or do I need to see a specialist first?

A decent eye consult should check muscle function (they'll ask you to look up/down, measure lid height), brow position and skin. Ask them which of those is causing the asymmetry and whether surgery would actually even it out.

They mentioned possible mild ptosis on one side for me, so yes, they do look at it. Ask directly if they don't bring it up.

Also ask what "symmetry" they can realistically promise. Nobody's eyes are identical.

Mine are uneven too. Saving the "what symmetry can you realistically promise" question.
